【News】Appointed as Board Member of the Chiba Cosmetics Industry Association

We are pleased to announce that Contract Logistics Corporation has been officially appointed as a board member of the Chiba Cosmetics Industry Association at its 48th General Meeting held on May 9, 2025.
This industry association, composed primarily of cosmetics manufacturers based in Chiba Prefecture, plays a vital role in sharing regulatory updates—particularly regarding Japan’s Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act (PMDA, formerly known as the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law)—as well as promoting collaboration across the industry.
What makes this appointment especially noteworthy is that our company is the first logistics provider to serve on the board. We consider this a recognition of our continued commitment to ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and quality throughout the cosmetics supply chain.
Although the regulatory revision in 2005 opened the door for logistics providers to obtain licenses in the field of cosmetics manufacturing (specifically in packaging, labeling, and storage), many such companies have not actively engaged in industry associations or regulatory communities. We obtained our license in 2019, and since then, we have been playing a critical supporting role in cosmetics logistics, with a strong focus on compliance and quality.
As a board member, we hope to serve as a bridge between manufacturers and logistics service providers, fostering stronger collaboration and mutual understanding within the industry. We believe this kind of integration is essential for building a more reliable and efficient cosmetics supply chain.
